Poor Gwyneth.? Back in the news again.? Of course, you know who I am talking about right?? Gwyneth Paltrow, the?movie star, married to Chris Martin the?front man for the band Coldplay.

The quote above is from Gwyneth?s most recent interview in Harper?s Baazarr.? She is discussing the importance of being available for her husband, when he returns home from work.

Gwyneth is a big deal.? She has won an oscar, keeps company with Madonna and Beyonc? and runs a successful blog, Goop.? And yet, people do not like her.

She seems like a nice enough gal.? Her hair is fabulous.? I wonder why she seems to annoy everyone all the time?? Oh, wait?I think I remember now.? Gwyneth does not think before she speaks.? Okay, that is not really true.? What really happens is when she speaks, people misinterpret what she means.

Being a movie star and being married to a super star must be hard.? Come on people.? Most of us cannot even imagine what her life is like.? Her greatest fault may be that she likes to think she is a ?commoner? like us, but there is no way she ever will be.

But I will admit, Gwyneth does say some very silly things.? It is easy to understand how she is misinterpreted.? Here are some things she has been quoted as saying.

Marriage

?Sometimes it?s hard being with someone for a long time. We? go through? periods that aren?t all rosy,? she said. I always say, life? is long, and you never know what?s going to happen.?

Being thin

?If we were living in ancient Rome or Greece, I would be considered sickly and unattractive. The times dictate that thin is better for some strange reason, which I think is foolish.?

Aging

?Beauty fades! I just turned 29, so I probably don?t have that many good years left in me.?

British vs American

??I like living here because I don?t fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans.?

Critics

?F-ck the haters! I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me and, for a second, your ego is so wounded. How could people hate me, my intentions or what I?m trying to do? I?m a good person and I?m trying to put good things into the world.?

Speaking in public is a skill.? I think when you become famous, it should be required to attend a class to learn things to say to the media.? Gwyneth apparently did not take a class.? She wants people to feel connected to her.? That is why she reveals so much about her life.? She also appears to be struggling with issues of aging, raising children, work, and marriage.? Her greatest mistake is that she talks to the wrong people about her struggles.

When Gwyneth speaks, I rarely listen.? The reason is, she does not have much to say that affects my daily life.? We have nothing in common, other than we are both married with children.? I do not think she says things to make people angry.? She says what is on her mind, without really thinking.

Perhaps it is time for her to take the much-needed class on public speaking.? It certainly could not hurt, right?

But until she does, ?Don?t worry Gwyneth, I?ll cover you.?
