Clean your house, one room a day if necessary, when you feel depressed. It is normal to have little or no motivation when depressed and this contributes to a messy house. This is a vicious cycle though, as a messy house can lead to more depression. Cleaning your house leads to an improved mood.
If you are feeling depressed, it might be time to evaluate your friendships. Some friends can be toxic, and damaging to your health. Sometimes cutting such people out of your life can be beneficial. If you surround yourself with happy individuals who are mentally healthy, you just might start to feel that way too.
When your depression is at its worst, try reading a books. Books are a way for anyone to get away from reality and for depressed people, reading their favorite book can help take their minds off of their depression. Just try to stay way from books that will make you sad.
Something as simple as exercise can seriously have a positive and lasting effect on your depression. Make sure that you?re doing whatever you can to be active whenever you can. Go purchase a treadmill or an exercise bike. Pick up landscaping as a hobby. Get in the habit of walking the dog. Become active.
